It is not wise to love a man
who is absent (I never said
I was wise). It is not wise to love
a man with an exaggerated belief
in your perfection. It absolves him
of the difficult task of seeing you
as human. If you must love
(and we must) then let it be
sufficient to be woman (the wise
man will understand this) or a door
without a name that stands
neither open nor closed.
